The Phipps Opportunity Center


The Phipps Opportunity Center in Melrose, the newest Phipps CDC community education site, houses a brand new computer lab with 20 computers and a projector system, expanding the capacity of Phipps CDC's Educational Technology training services. Computer classes include Word Processing & Basic Skills, Business Applications, Internet Use, and more. Download the Phipps Opportunity technology brochure.

The Phipps Opportunity Center also offers a Community Computer Room with several computers for public use. All PCs at the Center feature Microsoft Office applications and high-speed Internet for surfing, research, e-mail, schoolwork, and online students.

Classes are offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 3pm to 4:30pm. Open Lab hours are available when classes are not in session. Students are encouraged to arrive early as spaces fill quickly. All classes, training, and workshops are free of charge.
